Blueberry Balsamic Glazed Salmon

Instructions
Make the Blueberry Balsamic Glaze
- Combine the blueberries, blueberry jam, and balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat to low.
- Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare and Grill the Salmon
- Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
- Lightly coat the California King Salmon fillets with olive or vegetable oil.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Oil the grill grates.
- Place the salmon on the grill.
- Cook for 3 to 6 minutes per side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the salmon from the grill.
Assemble and Serve
- Transfer the grilled salmon to serving plates.
- Spoon the blueberry balsamic glaze over the salmon.
- Sprinkle with fresh basil, if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Additional Tips
The blueberry balsamic glaze can be prepared several days ahead and stored in a covered container in the refrigerator.
Serve any leftover blueberry balsamic glaze over a wedge of brie with toasted baguette slices, grilled chicken, or pork for an easy appetizer or meal enhancement.
