Honey Jalapeno Salmon

Sweet, spicy and tangy! This recipe is oh so easy and is the perfect pairing for rich, buttery California King Salmon.
Instructions
Make the Honey Jalapeno Sauce
- Place the honey, lemon or lime juice, butter, and jalapeno slices in a small saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
- Remove from heat.
- If preparing ahead, store the sauce in a covered container in the refrigerator.
- Remove the jalapeno slices before storing to maintain their color.
- Add fresh, thinly sliced jalapenos just before serving.
Prepare the Salmon
- Brush the California King Salmon fillets with olive oil.
- Season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Grill the Salmon
- Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
- Oil the grill grates.
- Place the salmon fillets on the grill.
- Cook for 3 to 6 minutes per side.
- Continue cooking until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the salmon from the grill.
Assemble and Serve
- Transfer the grilled salmon to individual plates or a serving platter.
- Spoon the honey jalapeno sauce over the salmon.
- Garnish with lemon or lime wedges.
- Add fresh cilantro sprigs.
- Serve immediately.
